Today is the day I finally sat down to design myself a CAS blog. As you might know, I have to write a blog of some kind which would document everything I do connected to creativity, activity and service.
I decided to write a blog online, so I could access it everywhere. I do not have to worry about having to carry my physical diary around with me. As you might have noticed, I am using a blog site called Blogger. I think I chose Blogger just because this was the only site I had heard of that I remembered. This also seems easily customizable.
First, I had to choose a name for the URL of my blog. I settled on sarcasticcasserole, just because it has CAS written in it not once, but twice! Then I started to mess around with different methods of customization. I chose a theme and then added a picture to the header. I found a picture of a grumpy-looking cat, who happens to be a unicorn in the middle of clouds with a rainbow in the background. For some reason I just found the picture to suit my blog. I also chose a colourful yellow background to spread some positive vibes and to comfort me in difficult moments. I tried to make my blog as simple as possible. I removed all unnecessary header links, my profile info, search bar and tags. I just prefer a cleaner look although I can also go crazy with colours and fonts but really enjoy them.
I cant remember any other design work I have recently done, but I did like creating this blog. For some reason it was quite relaxing to do. That's why I spent maybe a bit too much time doing it (while it doesn't necessarily show). But I hope others also enjoy my design or at least appreciate my choices and taste.
I will also for the record add a screenshot of how the blog looks like right now in case I change it later.

The One with the Murakami Presentation
For Friday, 10.11.17, I had a special task in my Estonian class. We read a book, Murakami's "Elephant Vanishes"

I made the introduction to the book by making a presentation about the author, Haruki Murakami. Teacher Jana Kübar gave me this task because she thought I was interested in Murakami, which is true. She had seen me at a presentation given about Murakami in Rahva Raamat bookshop earlier this school year. I was also one of the students who convinced the teacher about reading Murakami in class in the first place.
I read about his life, where he was born, how he open his own jazz bar, how he started to write and what are some of his most important works. I presented the information I found using Google slides, talking in front of the class.
I hope that I could teach my classmates something new and maybe even spark some interest about Haruki Murakami in them. Also, I myself learned quite many new information and I really enjoyed the whole project, as I am quite interested in Murakami's books and literature in general.
